About GILAWP

We build WordPress sites, then we keep them running.

GILAWP is a new company built around one idea: the work of keeping a website fast, secure and accessible should be visible. We handle development and design too — but everything we build, we’re prepared to operate afterwards.

A category built on being vague

Ask a WordPress maintenance company what they actually did last month and most cannot tell you. There’s a dashboard with a green tick, an invoice, and a vague sense that someone is watching. When something breaks, a ticket goes into a queue and a stranger picks it up.

That vagueness is not laziness — it’s the business model. Maintenance is sold as reassurance, and reassurance doesn’t require evidence. So the industry competes on price, because with nothing to compare but a feature list, price is all that’s left.

GILAWP was built to be the opposite. Every action logged with a timestamp and a reference. Every commitment published, including the remedy when we miss it. Every month, a document listing what we did and what changed. If that sounds unremarkable, look at how few companies in this category will put it in writing.

Six rules we don’t break

These aren’t values on a wall. Each one is a decision we’ve turned down work over.

Nothing ships untested

Every update goes to a staging copy first, with a snapshot taken before it. There is no “it’s only a minor version” exception, because that’s the one that takes down checkout.

A person responds, not a system

An automated acknowledgement is not a response. We reply by the next business day at the latest, and only once someone has actually looked at your site.

We write down what we did

Including the mistakes. If a deploy caused a problem, that’s in the record with the same weight as the wins — an honest log is the only kind worth keeping.

You own everything

Accounts, domains, code, backups. We work inside infrastructure you control and can revoke in one click. Nothing we do makes leaving harder.

No commission, ever

We don’t resell hosting, plugins or licences, and we take no referral fees. It’s the only way our advice about your stack can be trusted.

Accessibility isn’t optional

It’s in every plan at no extra cost. Charging extra to make a website usable by disabled people was never a business we wanted to be in.

Who we work with

Two kinds of client, one standard of work. We’re deliberately not for everyone — if what you need is an ongoing marketing campaign rather than technical work, we’ll tell you and point you elsewhere.

Businesses whose site is the business

Companies where an outage means lost bookings, lost orders or lost enquiries — and where nobody in-house wants to own plugin updates at the weekend.

Agencies who’d rather be designing

Studios and agencies that want the recurring revenue without staffing the pager. Your brand on every report; we stay invisible, permanently.

Judge us on the audit, not the about page

A $499 fixed-price audit of security, speed and accessibility. You’ll learn more about how we work from the findings than from anything written here.

Findings are yours to keep, with no obligation to continue.
