Accessibility Statement
Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 2026
Our commitment
GILAWP is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually work to improve the accessibility of our own site and the sites we build and maintain for clients, and we apply the same standard to this statement’s subject — gilawp.com.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. GILAWP aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 level AA. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user-friendly for all people.
What we’ve done
- Structured headings and landmarks so screen reader and keyboard users can navigate the page logically
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background across the site
- Descriptive link text and alternative text for meaningful images
- Keyboard-operable navigation, forms, and interactive elements
- Labelled form fields, including the contact form and its validation messages
- Responsive layout that supports zoom and text resizing without loss of content or function
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of gilawp.com, there may be limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
- Third-party embedded content (such as forms or widgets from external providers) may not fully meet the same accessibility standard we hold our own code to. We work with vendors to improve this where we can.
- Older PDF or document attachments linked from the site may not yet be fully accessible; we prioritize remediating these on request.
How we test
We test accessibility through a combination of automated scanning against WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria, manual keyboard navigation testing, and periodic screen reader testing of key user journeys such as navigation, forms, and calls to action.
Compatibility
gilawp.com is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
